Founded in 1955, Augusta Lumber is a vertically-integrated supplier with extensive operations in timber-rights purchasing, sawmills, kiln-drying, flooring manufacturing, and logistical support. We specialize in hardwoods with a focus on Red Oak, White Oak, Poplar, Walnut, Hickory, Cherry, Maple, Ash, and other varieties. Augusta Lumber operates five sawmills and a flooring mill.

Over the years, Augusta Lumber has grown to more than 300 employees. We were pioneers in the export hardwood business, and today ship millions of feet overseas to exacting standards of grading, measuring and packaging. Augusta Lumber's six facilities are convenient to major interstate routes and strategically located near the ports of Norfolk, Virginia and Baltimore, Maryland as well as the Virginia Inland Port.

To maintain and preserve the integrity of our natural resources, Augusta Lumber participates in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® program. This comprehensive system of forestry and conservation practices is based on the premise that responsible environmental behavior and sound business decisions can co-exist. From responsible harvesting practices to complete utilization of our raw materials, Augusta Lumber takes pride in preserving the forests from which we have derived so much.

Our expertise in drying lumber and our state-of-the-art kilns allow Augusta Lumber to specialize in thick stock and special widths and lengths in a variety of species. In addition to producing kiln-dried lumber, we also export high quality veneer logs and wide plank prefinished hardwood flooring sold under the Monte Bello flooring brand.
